MEET YOUR SUPERVISOR
I am a Registered Canadian Art Therapist (RCAT), Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC), and art therapy supervisor. I have
been practicing for over 8 years and has been providing supervision since 2022.
Supervision is a crucial part of the work we do as art therapists.
It helps us gain perspective, deepen our self-awareness, and strengthen our understanding and application of theory in practice. Supervision provides a space to reflect on the therapeutic relationship, navigate challenges, and celebrate growth.
I believe it is our ethical responsibility to engage in supervision—not only to support our clients’ well-being but also to ensure that our own beliefs, blind spots, or emotional responses don’t interfere with the work. Supervision allows us to stay grounded, curious, and accountable in our role as therapists.
MY APPROACH
TO SUPERVISION
My approach to supervision is collaborative, reflective and grounded in curiosity. I see supervision as a space to slow down, explore your clinical work, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself as a therapist.
Together, we can explore art-based interventions, therapeutic relationships, clinical challenges, ethical considerations, and the ways our own experiences and perspectives can shape our work. I also make space for questions, uncertainty, creativity and the ongoing learning that comes with being a therapist.
