MEET THE SUPERVISOR

Supervision is a crucial part of the work we do as art therapists.

It helps us gain perspective, deepen our self-awareness, and strengthen our understanding and application of theory in practice. Supervision provides a space to reflect on the therapeutic relationship, navigate challenges, and celebrate growth.

I believe it is our ethical responsibility to engage in supervision—not only to support our clients’ well-being but also to ensure that our own beliefs, blind spots, or emotional responses don’t interfere with the work. Supervision allows us to stay grounded, curious, and accountable in our role as therapists.

Amélie is a Registered Canadian Art Therapist (RCAT) and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC)

ONLINE GROUP SUPERVISION

This supervision group is designed to support art therapists working toward their CATA registration. If you’re an art therapist looking to deepen your practice and explore how art can enhance your work from a supervision perspective, this group is for you!

As you know, art is a powerful tool. When integrated into our professional lives, it allows us to gain deeper insight into our clients and enrich our therapeutic approach. In this group, you will engage in various art directives to support self-regulation and have dedicated time to ask questions about your art therapy sessions with clients. Amélie (RCAT, RTC) is an art therapist based on Snuneymuxw territory. She is honored to walk alongside clients navigating trauma, grief and loss, and major life transitions.

📅 Participants must be able to attend all five sessions.

FALL DATES: September 17, October 1, 15, 29 and November 12
