CHILD & YOUTH ART THERAPIST AT THE HALIAKA’AS HEILTSUK HEALTH CENTRE
Conduct art therapy sessions with Indigenous children, youth & adults
Provide a safe space for self-exploration through art making
Address a wide range of issues (ie: managing symptoms of anxiety & depression, suicidal ideation, self harm, etc)
Conduct parent meetings, client intakes + goal settings and suicide assessments + safety plans
Attend the community interagency meetings & take part of the local on-call crisis intervention helpline when needed
Conduct art as therapy workshops (ie: macramé, bullet journaling) to promote community building & relaxation
